2012 Wedding Season Has Come to a Close

We had our last wedding of the year a few weeks ago. It's crazy to think we only had two to go to this year.....normally we average 5-6 and they are NEVER in state......aka always REALLY expensive. As much as I love a wedding it has been nice to be around home a little more this summer and get some projects done. When we were driving back from the wedding I realized I don't have too many more good friends who are going to be getting married....now I need to find a new reason to be able to catch up with all my friends!

Going into this wedding I knew it was going to be a great time, and wow did the bride and groom not disappoint! The bride looked amazing, as did the entire bridal party. The reception hall was GORGEOUS, food was fantastic, and the band was by far the best band I have ever heard at a wedding! They could play just about anything from awesome 80s to beat boxing Justin Timberlake. It was crazy. Everybody was talking about how good the band was and my hubby was definately loving them too! The band kept the dance floor packed.  My favorite part of this weekend was besides seeing all my good friends, I got to see my college roomie and bestie!! It totally stinks living a few states away....and soon to be even more states when she moves with her boyfriend. I guess now I have a reason to go to the west coast!! No worries roomie, I'm for sure visiting and we are going to have SO much fun :)

When the party ended, nobody was ready to stop so we did the logical thing and hit up the Indy bars....until 4AM! One thing is for sure, even though I sure can't party like I'm in college anymore, when I'm around my college friends you better believe I THINK I can party like I"m still in college. It was a fantastic night with great friends...followed by a very long drive to Illinois to catch our flight. Worth every second :) Here are a few pics from the night. Congrats to Annie & Rex!!!

Hail, hail to old Purdue!

The first weekend of July Ed and I had a wedding in Indianapolis. We figured since we were so close to Purdue we should make a pit stop and get some new Purdue gear and see how campus had changed. I hadn't been there in 6 years and Ed hadn't been there in about 3. It was SO hot, the temp was over 100 and that was without the heat index. We quickly found ourselves checking out a few areas then going back to the car to sit in air conditioning for a few minutes and drink water and then repeat. It took awhile but we got all around campus. Naturally we ended the trip with a stop at the Discount Den for  one of my favorite Purdue things, a Den pop! They are basically over sized pops and are 50 cents.....now they're 56 cents (seriously 56? why not an even 60?!) but still worth it! Here are a few pics Ed took while on campus!

118 Waldron, ZETAS! My home for 3 years of college :O)

Love this place, still looks exactly the same

On the 2nd floor just to the left of all the pillars is the room Lisa and I had our first year in the house

My cousin's wedding

On June 29 my cousin got married! Ed and I were able to fly back to Morton for the wedding and a weekend of family fun. The Friday night we went to dinner with mom & dad and then met up with Jeff and his friends at the bars. I felt a little old when they didn't go out till 10 PM and I was ready to put on my pjs but we still made it out!

That Saturday mom played in the Pekin Country Club womens championship tournament......AND WON!!! Then we had Cara's wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous! As always it was another fantastic Aussieker wedding.....4 down....just Jeff to go....one day :) Here are some of my favorite pics from her wedding

Weekend @ home

So this post is about 2 weeks delayed....but I had to get it up before I write about wedding season (my favorite time of the year!!) We were pretty busy in June. We started it with Max's hs graduation. The following weekend I had a bachlorette party for a great friend. Then the next weekend we celebrated my birthday (last year in my twenties eek!) a week late. The next weekend was my cousins wedding (next post will be on this). And the last weekend of June I worked (boo!) The weekend we hung around the house and celebrated my birthday was gorgeous! So we filled up Mav's pool and got some sun. Here are a few pics from the day

Clueless he's about to get his pool out
